Mckinley Montessori School was founded in 1981 by Rebecca and Kathleen, two extraordinary women who understood and appreciated the unique value and potential of childhood. Over the last 40 years, MMS has created an incredible community, and we now have second and third-generation children returning through the green gates. MMS understands that there is a remarkable privilege and honor in educating children, and Rebecca and Kathleen’s essential goal was for each child to leave MMS knowing their own value and worth in the community. Kathleen’s daughter, Sara, is the current administrator of MMS and continues on the tradition and values of care, compassion, and individuality.
